Timesheet Builder+ Documentation
Timesheet Builder+ let’s you turn note files entered as text from Notes, TextEdit, or any other word processor into time sheets and sorted notebook files.
Timesheet Builder+ can help consultants and other professionals keep accurate, detailed notes on a variety of topics as well as provide their clients or employer a detailed accounting of time worked. Timesheet Builder+ allows you to take free format RTF text type files and create time sheets and note files which are segregated by task classification. In addition, the time sheets can be fed into a sum up program which can produce a complete time summary. The note files can be appended into separate note repositories which can make keeping track of who said what when a bit easier. This can be a big time saver for anyone who has to do these types of tasks in their work.
The input raw note files can be created in Mac TextEdit program or any other word processor as well as devices like the iPad and iPhone using the Notes application. After the individual files are transferred to a MAC, they can be processed as a group. While the program runs on a Mac, it can process Windows text files as well. These files do have a loose format with certain character strings denoting time span or task classifications but by and large, the user can pretty much type whatever they need to into the input raw note files that makes sense to them.
For more detail info about how to set up and create the raw note files, follow this (link).
Raw note files can refer to Task IDs, though they don’t have to. Using Task IDs, however, can make both your note files and your time sheets look better and be more accurate.
For more detail info about how to set up and use the task ID file, follow this (link).
As mentioned above, the Timesheet Builder+ program creates two types of output files. Timesheets are a listing of the work done, by day, and with a time breakdown.
For more details about how raw note files and the Task ID file are combined and Timesheets are created, follow this (link).
Timesheets can be combined into a time summary report which is created by the TimeAdder option of Timesheet Builder+.
For more details about how Timesheets are added into the time summary report(s), please review the user guides for example 1 and example 2.
Output Note files are the other type output that Timesheet Builder+ creates. Notes are a correlated listing of all of the notes that were entered into the raw note files, broken down by client and task, and sorted by date and subtask.
For more detail info about what the output note files are and how they are formulated from raw note files, follow this (link).
